The customer's core processes are laser beam melting or selective laser melting (SLM) and laser metal deposition (DMD). In the SLM systems, the excess (and valuable) powder is removed from the machine's workspace after each printing process so that it can later be sieved and reused. The build chamber is then vacuumed out with a wet separator.
